A Tech-Forward Credit Union in Portland
Providence Federal Credit Union’s primary challenge was that much of banking has moved online, and they need to swim more confidently in these deep and complex waters.
Another goal of theirs that really caught our eye was the desire to reach out to UDW, a union of care workers in Southern California. Many of the union members were completely unbanked, with little access to solid banking products (like free checking accounts or low-interest loans) or sound financial advice.
The timeline for launching credit union access for the new potential UDW membership was aggressive, to say the least. Initially, part of our job was reassuring them that what they wanted to do was possible.
